We believe that the next four years depend on Americans across the country standing indivisible against the Trump agenda. Our Portsmouth group is committed to raising our voices to influence our Members of Congress and to organizing local opposition and activities that will make a difference for our community, our state, and our nation during these challenging times.

Facebook: Indivisible New Hampshire (closed group- request membership)
We were started on January 15 by Linda Rhodes and Peter Miller, as part of a nation wide effort by MoveOn and Indivisible. We organized to influence our MoC's using the Indivisible Guide, and decided to focus on the national issues Indivisible highlights, and also to focus on voter rights in New Hampshire.
Our facebook group grew to over 1000 members in three months. We are action oriented and are building an organization for the long haul.
Resist Trump Tuesdays - a weekly 4pm rally at Sen Jeanne Shaheen's Dover office (340 Central Ave) to let her staff know our concerns, support her when she does the right thing, and question her when she has not yet taken positions. We then stand outside, hold signs, and make our presence known.
Weekly call to action - Sunday night or Monday, we post a weekly list of 4-5 phone calls or other simple actions our members can take that week to make a difference. This will include at least one action focused on voter rights in NH.
Periodic group meetings - getting members together in informal 'coffees' or in larger more formal meetings to plan actions, write postcards and letters to teh editor and to get to know each other.
Wednesday Phone banking 5-7pm to support America Vote's efforts to defend voting rights in NH
As UUs we affirm and promote seven principles including: the inherent worth and dignity of every person; justice, equity and compassion in human relations; the goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all; the respect for the interdependent web of all existence.
These principles and our living tradition of shared ministry call us - as individuals, UU congregations, and as UU Action New Hampshire - to promote justice, sustainability and peace in the world, in our work and in our personal lives. We follow in the footsteps of dedicated and visionary UUs like Susan B. Anthony, Clara Barton, Pete Seeger, Viola Liuzzo and others.
